Few people would pass up the opportunity to meet a soulmate. So when someone has discovered a soulmate connection, it can be devastating to lose that soulmate to death. One might feel as if a part of their soul has died along with that person, and in a sense, that is true, since a soulmate literally connects with you from the soul level.
But there is plenty of metaphysical evidence that we maintain our soulmate connections even after one or both soulmates have died.
First of all, life doesn’t end at death. Anyone who has ever visited a psychic medium and experienced the flood of emotions when that psychic medium is able to give them a message from someone on the other side, knows first-hand that death cannot break the bond that we forge with our loved ones. There are stories of psychic mediums giving people messages from their soulmates on the other side, such as the message from a departed spouse who wants his wife and soulmate to keep living and experience love in that lifetime again.
Dreams can also show us that soulmate connections do not die. Often, after a loved one has died, people report having dreams about that loved one. Such dreams tend to be more intense and emotionally-charged than regular dreams, and many people believe that such dreams are truly instances in which the departed loved one is communicating with them. For example, a dream might feel more like a conversation between you and a loved one, and when you wake up, you might come away feeling a strong sense of love and safety.
Such experiences show that the connection we share with our loved ones continues to endure after death. The stronger the connection between the two souls, the more likely there is bound to be some attempt at communication such as through the realm of dreams.
Research into past lives also suggests that the soulmate connection transcends death. It’s not uncommon for people to reincarnate with the same group of souls over and over again. We often share multiple lifetimes with our soulmates. A soulmate could be a lover in one life, a parent in another life and a best friend in yet another life. The connection that soulmates share is so strong that it brings them together time and time again.
If you are lucky enough to recognize a soulmate, you should take solace in the fact that no matter how long you two remain together in this current lifetime, you can rest assured that you will come together again.
