It’s not unusual for people to consult a psychic about their relationship, money or career woes. After all, psychics often help to remove confusion and bring clarity when we’re spinning our wheels trying to solve our day-to-day problems. But a report by the Los Angeles Times suggests that Latinos are asking psychics for help with another problem: that of the possible election of Donald Trump.
Not only are Latinos flocking to psychics to get a supernatural take on Trump’s chances at winning the presidency, but the article says:
Some have spent up to $30 to cleanse themselves of Trump’s energy, using herbs, oils, perhaps an egg. Others have paid to tap into the mogul’s spirit, hoping to stage a metaphysical intervention.
One psychic interviewed for the article said that nearly one-third of her clients ask about Donald Trump during their readings. Most express their desire for Donald Trump to lose, and go on to ask how a Donald Trump presidency might hurt them in the future.
That’s not surprising considering the fact that Donald Trump has made building a wall to keep Mexican immigrants out of the United States a major part of his campaign. He has also been accused of making derogatory comments about Latinos, even calling the former Miss Universe Alicia Machado “Miss Housekeeping” because she is a Latina.
