Whew! So many people have voiced their relief that Mercury Retrograde is over. This one (between April 9, 2017 and May 3, 2017) was particularly tough for many of us. Plus, it overlapped with Venus, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto all going Retrograde during that same period. Chances are you’re aware that Mercury Retrograde is characterized by communication problems and delays, but there’s another side effect: Mercury Retrograde can wreak havoc on your natural psychic ability.
Even the most intuitive of us can find ourselves doubting ourselves during Mercury Retrograde, or even worse, getting our signals crossed and picking up on things that aren’t really there. Those communication problems can mess with our intuitive accuracy. We may have a conversation with someone and think we’re picking up on some weird vibe, only to find that it’s all in our head.
Another thing that commonly occurs during Mercury Retrograde is that some people feel confusion. We may think we need clarity and be less certain about what steps to take next than usual. We may feel sluggish and we may feel like our dreams and goals are further from us than we think. Some people even feel a little down or depressed during Mercury Retrograde, and you may find yourself spending more time alone than with others.
So now that Mercury Retrograde is over, don’t be surprised if much of those undesirable feelings go away. (Though they may not go away all at once.) Your energy may start to return, and you may become more clear about what’s going on in your life. Relationships that seemed to be put on hold may suddenly start to experience movement again. Your intuition may feel stronger, and you may begin to trust yourself and what you pick up from the world around you.
You may also start to get excited about moving toward your goals again. Recognize that Mercury Retrograde is powerful and can influence the way that you experience the world around you. Now that it’s over, consider the past few weeks from that viewpoint and ask yourself what steps you can take to move your life in the direction you want to go..
