One of the toughest lessons to learn in life is that you can’t believe everything that people say. If you’ve ever been cheated on in a relationship or mislead about a job offer, you know how painful it can be if someone is lying to you. You may even be lied to by family members or children. Sometimes people have no intention of hurting you, but their lies can still sting. That’s why learning to recognize the signs someone is lying to you can be very helpful.
If you’re wondering whether someone is lying to you, there is all kinds of advice about what to look for in that person’s actions. For example, you might be told to listen to see if the pitch of their voice changes or if the person averts their gaze. But you can also recognize signs someone is lying to you by paying attention to your own reactions. Your intuition and your inherent psychic ability are the biggest clues you have as to whether or not someone is being deceitful.
So what should you look for? There are a number of signs, and again, all of them are related to you so pay attention to your reactions.
You feel physically ‘off’
When someone tells you something and you physically feel like something is ‘off’ in your body, take heed; the person may be lying. Some people report feeling their stomach drop. Others might notice a tingling sensation in a part of their body. Some feel physically ill. If your body registers a physical change right after someone makes a statement and that physical change doesn’t feel good, your intuition is telling you to focus on that statement and not to take it at face value.
You instantly know it’s a lie
Some people have the psychic gift of claircognizance, which is the act of acquiring psychic knowledge without knowing how it got there. When you are claircognizant, you just KNOW things. It’s not a thought, it’s not a feeling, it’s just a knowing that the person is lying.
You procrastinate on acting on something they said
Sometimes your intuition takes longer to give you a message. Perhaps someone gives you information that requires you to take action. If you find yourself slow to act, your intuition could be keeping you from moving forward. Perhaps a potential lover tells you he or she is committed to you, yet you are slow to move forward in the relationship even though you want to. Trust that you’re picking up on bad vibes or that the person isn’t being entirely truthful in the words that they say. The same could hold true for a job offer or business venture. If the person trying to persuade you to come onboard says all the right things, yet you’re slow to say yes, it might not be about you, but rather about them.
You hear a voice or have a thought that says ‘this is a lie’
Psychic ability comes in many forms. Some people are clairaudient, meaning they hear voices. (Not voices telling you to do bad things; if you hear voices telling you to do bad things, go to a hospital emergency room.) But you may notice a thought that pops in your head simply letting you know the person has told an untruth. Trust it.
Now with all of these things to look for, I would be remiss if I didn’t offer this caveat. Everyone in the world is not lying to you or out to get you, so if you regularly have thoughts that people are lying to you, you might simply be reading that into all of your relationships. It might be your insecurities or your fears of trusting people that are making you believe everyone is lying. Likewise, if you assume that everyone you date is lying to you or every boss you’ve had was lying to you, there’s likely a level of distrust that you should work on within yourself. If you’re confused about whether you’re picking up signs that someone is lying to you or whether you’re just overly distrustful, a psychic may be able to help.
