It is hard not to be emotionally touched by all that is going on with the Houston flooding. It is also natural to want to know how you can provide help for Houston. Financial help can make a huge difference, and if you can donate money, please do. But there’s another way that you can provide help for Houston. You can send healing energy their way.
We are all powerful beyond measure. In fact, most of us give our power away on a daily basis. But we can also focus our power to help others. Here are some ways that we can harness our power to help those who have been devastated by the flooding in Houston and other parts of the southwestern United States.
Pray. Most of us have been asked to pray for someone or we may have even asked others to pray for us when circumstances became challenging. By praying for those in Houston, we take the cause up to whatever higher power we believe in.
Visualize a better outcome. If you are a believer in the Law of Attraction, you know that thoughts are things. What you expect to happen influences what actually does happen. Focusing on the horrible pictures of flooding and filling your mind with images of loss, pain and grief–which are definitely happening in Houston–will not bring about the results that we want. What you want to focus on instead is the outcome you want to see there. Visualize people rebuilding homes and visualize a land where the flood waters have gone down. In your mind’s eye, see people smiling and laughing and getting back to their lives.
Send distance Reiki. If you are a Reiki practitioner, you can start using your skill to provide help for Houston. Reiki is a Japanese healing technique in which a Reiki practitioner channels energy to others through touch, or the laying of the hands. When Reiki is performed, the patient’s own healing processes are activated. You don’t have to touch someone to send Reiki.
