Do you do an Internet search when you have an ache or pain, and feel like you might have a dreaded disease? Do you hear about someone else’s ailment and find yourself feeling the symptoms? Do you sometimes have aches and pains that can’t be explained by a doctor or anyone else? If you’ve ever been accused of being a hypochondriac, you may, in fact be an empath.
Empaths are those that literally feel what others are feeling. They don’t have visions or ‘just know’ things; they feel as if they are actually experiencing what another person is experiencing. A physical empath is someone who feels physically what another person is feeling. That means you might feel aches and pains, or even symptoms of illnesses if you are around someone that is experiencing those physical sensations.
It’s particularly common for physical empaths to pick up on the ailments of their loved ones. After all, you have a connection to those people. In some cases, there are psychic cords between the two of you. As a result, you’re better able to sense what they’re feeling, and you may literally have those same sensations.
Before I go further, I must say this: I’m no doctor and this blog post is in no way trying to impart medical advice. I’m just attempting to explain the metaphysical concept of physical empathy.
Do you feel pain in your chest area, only to be told that your heart is healthy? You may be psychically picking up on the fact that a loved one is having heart trouble. Do you feel anxiety, even when nothing is wrong? You may be an empath who is psychically feeling the fear and anxiety that a loved one is going through.
If you are a physical empath, you may even decide to become a medical intuitive –a psychic who specializes in detecting illnesses in the body. While a medical intuitive cannot — and should not — take the place of a doctor, he or she can help you to pin down information that may be used in conjunction with a doctor to treat you.
How physical empaths can use their gifts
If you’re an empath who regularly experiences the aches and pains of others, you may resist that skillset because it’s probably not very pleasant. Who wants to feel bad? However, think of your empathy as a gift.
As a physical empath, you have the ability to help others by understanding what they are going through in life. What you must learn is how to have some semblance of control over what you do.
If you think you’re a physical empath and you’re picking up on someone’s possible illness, it’s probably not a good idea to share what you’re picking up on. Instead, try to get them to see a doctor. Maybe you ask when they had their last physical and suggest that they get one.
You can also learn to turn the power off. If you’re unsure whether you’re picking up your own ailments or those of someone else, you can close your eyes and set the intention that any pain that is not yours disappear. Then see what happens. If pain persists, see a doctor.
