The power of a curse is a concept that is not new. Throughout history there are stories of people believed to be cursed. There are some, for example, who believe that the Kennedy family is cursed because of all of the deaths they have experienced. There’s another belief that there is a curse surrounding the discovery of King Tut’s tomb since several people who opened the tomb met a terrible fate soon after. Curses have even made it into pop culture. For example, on the soap opera General Hospital, Luke and Laura experienced many hardships after being cursed by the villain Helena Cassadine. But are curses real?
If you understand the power of intention and the power of thought, then it’s not a hard concept for you to grasp that curses are, in fact, real. A curse is nothing more than a statement of strong belief. And if you know anything about the Law of Attraction and the philosophy that thoughts become things, you know that a strong belief has the power to change everything. So does that mean that if someone puts a curse on you you’re doomed? Not at all. You have more power than you think.
What if you have a curse on you?
Before telling you what to do if you have a curse on you, I’m going to tell you what NOT to do. Don’t go to a psychic reader and pay her $100 to remove the curse. If you visit a psychic and she or he tells you you’re cursed and need to spend a lot of money to get the curse removed, ignore them. That is a scam. Run, don’t walk, but run away as fast as you can. A reputable psychic doesn’t try to scare you out of your money.
Now what do you do if you think you have a curse on you? It’s actually quite simple. Another person’s beliefs about you are never as strong as your beliefs about yourself. If someone wishes harm on you and you believe their curse is more powerful than you are, then their curse will work. However, if someone wishes harm on you and you believe that you are the most powerful person in your life (which you are, by the way), you will effectively ward off the curse and life will go on as usual. If you’re not aware that you’ve been cursed, you may have your defenses down and someone can do a little damage, but if you protect yourself from psychic attack you can pretty much keep that at bay. A good book to help you do that is The Witch’s Shield: Protection Magick and Psychic Self Defense.
Tools to help you ward off a curse
While you don’t need to spend a cent to ward off a curse, there are some tools that you can use to help you get in the mindset that you need to be in to protect yourself. One is the Evil Eye Bracelet, which is a piece of jewelry designed to ward off the bad intentions of others. If you know someone who is jealous of you or who appears to be out to get you, such as that co-worker who tried to steal your ideas, the frenemy who wants your man or the former friend who stabbed you in the back, an Evil Eye Bracelet is believed to possess properties that will keep the negative attention and energy away from you. So you don’t have to be conscious of the fact that someone is sending negative energy your way. Your bracelet provides all of the protection that you need.
Another piece of jewelry you might want to consider is the Protection Amuleti Bracelet from Isabella, a company that specializes in spiritual jewelry. This colorful piece of jewelry was handmade in Guatemala and it’s designed to be a reminder to you that there are always forces working to keep you safe no matter what others may have in mind.
Even if you don’t believe that the jewelry has superpowers, wearing it is a way for you to set an intention that you are more powerful than any ill-will or negative energy that someone can send your way. It is very powerful to take charge of your life and by incorporating your metaphysical beliefs into your wardrobe through jewelry you give more credence to your beliefs and empower yourself to use the secret knowledge that you possess to your advantage.
