Most of us know what it feels like to encounter negative energy. Maybe there’s someone negative at work or we have an argument with a loved one. Maybe we even experience negative energy from a stranger or in a location that we have to be in. Unfortunately, that negative energy can cling to us and impact our auras. If that’s the case for you, a spiritual bath could be the remedy that you need.
More often than not, the end of the day or a busy week might leave us feeling exhausted and uninspired. If that’s the case, soaking your body in a bath might be what you need when you feel tired and worn out. Along the same lines, a spiritual bath will help reset the buttons for your physical and spiritual energies.
What is a spiritual bath?
If you have never heard of a spiritual bath, think of it as the type of bath that can help you reset all of your energy buttons. A spiritual bath helps bring unity between your mind, body and spirit. It can also help to retune your aura. It is different from your daily shower in that it is a sacred ritual.
Why take a spiritual bath?
There are a number of reasons why you might take a spiritual bath:
- You’ve done psychic work and you need a way to release excess energy (See signs of psychic overload)
- You’re currently going through a period of intense emotional growth and healing
- You want to perform a spiritual ritual to mark a new period in your life
- You want to celebrate the New Moon, Full Moon, or some other astrological change
- You’ve had a negative interaction with someone and you want to cleanse your aura
- You’ve been the victim of psychic attack or some other negative energetic experience (See signs of psychic attack)
- You simply want to rejuvenate your mind, body and soul
A spiritual bath offers some spiritual cleansing that cannot be achieved by taking any other type of bath. These baths serve as a way to infuse the body and spirit with almost indescribable magic. The spiritual baths help at removing the negative energy that might be lurking in your body. Some people believe that this bath can bring luck to your life. But the bottom line is that a spiritual bath helps bring about positivity.
Some types of spiritual baths
You can enhance the experience by setting the mood. Play your favorite music, clean the house, light some candles and call upon your Spirit Guides. Also, understand that a spiritual bath is not meant to cleanse you. You should still use your regular soaps to clean your physical body. In fact, you may want to clean yourself physically before you begin your spiritual bath.
There are a number of different types of spiritual baths you can take that differ based on what ingredients you opt to use. Here are some suggestions of ingredients you might use:
Apple cedar vinegar bath
A few drops of apple cider vinegar to the bath can change the bath to one that reinvigorates the body and spirit.
Salt bath
A salt bath, sometimes referred to as a mineral bath, requires that you add salt to the bathwater such as Himalayan or Epsom salt. You might also use saltpeter, which is known for its magical protection properties.
Baking soda bath
Add a cup of baking soda to your warm bath water. Baking soda is an excellent detoxifier for the body. Its also a great remover of dead skin cells.
Regardless of what ingredients you use in your spiritual bath, there are some steps you can take to have a better experience.
Set an intention or state your reason for taking the bath. Do you want cleanse your aura? Reset your energy? Mark a special occasion?
Give yourself time. Allow yourself to soak in the bath for 20 to 30 minutes. (There are different spiritual bath recipes and techniques and some may tell you to soak for a certain period of time or some may even tell you to pour water over yourself rather than soak in it).
After the bath, avoid using a towel to dry off. Instead, allow the body to drip dry. Also put on fresh clothes after a spiritual bath to continue with the theme of renewal.
