Do you regularly get good or bad vibes about people just by being around them? If so, you may feel like you’re losing your superpower if you’re forced to communicate with others via Zoom or some other virtual collaboration tool. Luckily, that does not have to be the case.
There is no doubt the year 2020 has changed everything about the way we live and the way we work. Not only are some of us choosing to minimize our contacts with others, but many companies are telling their employees to work remotely rather than come back into the office.
I pride myself on being able to pick up on the energy of a room. I can go into a conference room at work and feel the tension in the room or know immediately who I can trust and who I can’t. Having that ability can be a major advantage, as it helps me know who I can count on as an ally, and it gives me a heads up if I need to start looking for a better situation for myself. It is also a sign of the psychic gift of clairsentience. Empaths are likely particularly good at this.
So how does this work in the age of Zoom meetings and happy hours?
Psychic ability transcends technology
The good news is psychic ability does occur via technology. You can pick up vibes over Zoom. You don’t have to be in somebody’s face to pick up information about them; think about a time when you’ve spoken to someone on the phone and you knew something was going on with that person even though they said everything was fine.
Or you might have benefited from receiving a psychic reading via telephone or online chat.
However, if you’re not used to using your intuition this way, it may seem challenging at first. Here are some steps to help you make the adjustment.
Be still a couple of minutes before the Zoom call
It may be difficult for you at first to pick up on someone’s vibes over zoom, so take a little extra time to calm your energy and focus your mind before the conversation begins.
Rather than simply jumping from a different activity to the call, close your eyes and meditate for a few minutes before you go on Zoom. If there is any tension in your body, allow it to dissipate since you’ll be depending on your physical sensations to give you information once you get on the call (keep reading below). Ideally, you want to feel calm and at peace when you go onto Zoom.
Cut out distractions
It’s easy to have a lot of things going on while you’re on a Zoom call. In the early days of the pandemic, I found myself sitting there with the television on in the background or checking social media while I waited for someone to wrap up the conversation.
However, when you have a lot of distractions around you, it’s more difficult to hone in on the vibration of the person who is speaking on Zoom. Even if you pick up on something, there’s a chance you won’t notice it because your attention is divided.
Before you go onto Zoom, turn off any other technology that you won’t be needing specifically for the call.
Note your bodily impressions
While you’re on the Zoom call, you are going to listen to what others are saying, of course. However, at the same time, pay attention to how you feel in your body throughout the conversation. If you’re talking to multiple people or in a meeting with co-workers, note the differences in the way you feel when each person speaks.
For example, your body may tense up when your manager talks. Or perhaps you suddenly feel tired and have the urge to yawn when one of your colleagues begins to give her presentation. A sudden wave of happiness may surge when another co-worker speaks. In these instances, your physical reactions are giving you instant feedback on how you feel about each person’s energy.
When you feel good when someone is talking, they are giving you good vibes. When you feel bad when someone is talking, they are giving you bad vibes. And when you can’t pick up on anything, be wary about why you can’t pick up on their vibes over Zoom. Perhaps that person has a strong psychic shield or they may be hiding something.
Do an automatic writing dump after the call
Sometimes we pick up psychic information without realizing it. Automatic writing allows us download psychic messages directly without filtering them with our conscious mind.
Once you log off of the call, pull out a piece of paper and use your non-dominant hand (if you’re right-handed, use your left hand. If you’re left-handed, use your right hand.)
Ask yourself what psychic impressions you picked up during the Zoom conversation and just start writing with your non-dominant hand. Give yourself 15 minutes to simply write without stopping to think about what you’re doing. Once you’re finished, read over what you wrote and see if you picked up any insights.
