Not every dream has an important message for you. There are some dreams that simply reflect the thoughts that are rolling around in your head. But every so often, a dream comes along that provides insight or may even offer some psychic information that can help you in your day-to-day life.
For some people, dreams are an introduction to their psychic abilities. I’ve come across people who have said that the first time they knew something was going to happen before it happened, they knew through a dream.
It’s also not uncommon for people to have psychic premonitions about world events through their dreams. For example, I’ve heard stories of people who dreamt about earthquakes or terror attacks before they happened. When I first started exploring my own psychic abilities, I used to have prophetic dreams of plane crashes only to see on the news in the next couple of days that a plane had crashed.
Determining which dreams to pay attention to and which dreams to ignore can be challenging sometimes but there are some signs that a dream holds more psychic weight than others.
You keep thinking about the dream
Psychic information often comes to us as thoughts, and when a thought is persistent there is the possibility that it could be important. If your mind continues to go back to a dream, it’s a good idea to give the dream some thought or at least write it down so you can give it some thought later. (Writing down your dreams is always a good idea because it’s easy to forget details that you may find are significant later.)
You felt emotions during the dream
Any time you feel emotion during a dream, pay attention. Of course you should note how you felt — did you feel calm? Anxious? Afraid? The emotion may give you insight into how you feel about the situation, or it may be a warning about how you should feel. For example, if you feel unease in the dream, that could be your intuition warning you about the situation you are dreaming about.
You’ve had the dream multiple times
When it comes to psychic information, anything that repeats itself is worth paying attention to. Messages that are repeated are important. So a dream that repeats itself suggests that you did not get the message the first time and the Universe deemed it important enough to try to get through to you again. If you are confused about the meaning, spend some time in meditation, and ask your Spirit Guide to help you decipher the message.
The dream is a sequel to another dream
Along the same lines, a dream could provide a message that goes along with the message in an earlier dream. If this happens, consider it more information that you can piece together with the information from the earlier dream. This is another reason why it’s a good idea to always write down your dreams. You’ll be able to see more clearly when dreams go together to form a cohesive story.
