If you’re a pet owner, chances are you sometimes worry about your pet. You may wonder if they’re feeling ok (unless you have a telepathic connection and they can tell you). If you watch your pet carefully, you might also notice that they sometimes seem to ‘see’ things that we can’t see.
You know, when your pet is staring intently at something that isn’t visible to your human eyes. I don’t know about you, but I sometimes see my cat Snowflake staring intently into space and I wonder if she might be in touch with my first cat Aradia, who passed away years ago. I imagine them having conversations about me and Aradia giving Snowflake lessons on how she can get her way. But then I also sometimes wonder if there might be something more nefarious going on. Could there be other beings or entities that Snowflake is in communication with? Maybe something or someone that doesn’t have her best interests in mind.
So I was wondering if there were ways to protect our pets metaphysically and I came across some good information that I wanted to share. I found the information in the book, Everyday Psychic Defense by Cassandra Eason. This book has a wealth of information about psychic protection and it includes helpful tips on staying safe from psychic attacks and other negative energies.
The book goes into some detail about how we can protect our pets, and one of the best ways is to use certain crystals.
Understanding the power of crystals
In order to understand how crystals work for us, it helps to understand the the concept of energy vibration. We all vibrate at certain frequencies and the frequency we vibrate at impacts what we attract in our lives. We can’t invite lower-vibration energies into our lives if we’re operating at a high vibration. Crystals have healing properties partly because they tend to vibrate at a higher energy level than most humans do. When we spend time with a particular crystal, it can impact our own energetic vibration, which can then transform our worlds. Remember, when we change our vibration, we change what we attract into our lives and we change our worlds.
The same thing holds true for our pets. Our pets vibrate at a certain vibration that affects what they attract into their lives. In fact, the reason you found your pet in the first place (or your pet found you) is because the two of you vibrated at energy frequencies that were compatible.
By using crystals to protect your pet, you acknowledge the power of crystals to affect your pet’s vibration in a way that is beneficial to your pet.
How to work with crystals to protect your pet
So what crystals should pet lovers add to their arsenal? Here are a few that you might want to try.
Amethyst. This is one of my favorite crystals, period, because of its spiritual vibe. Amethyst can calm an anxious animal. It’s also believed to be effective if your pet is in pain. In Everyday Psychic Defense, Eason says that amethyst is a great crystal to have around if you have rescue animals who may have been traumatized in the past.
Jade. If your pet goes outside and you’re worried about he or she getting attacked by a larger animal, a piece of jade may be in order. This is a pet protection stone that can help keep negative energies at bay. If your pet has a collar, attach the jade to the collar to give your pet an extra dose of protection. If you have to leave your pet at a kennel, leave a piece of jade with him or her to provide an extra dose of soothing.
Turquoise. This is another protection stone that can keep your pet safe. It’s also believed to protect pets who are in danger of being stolen. Some people have used turquoise to protect pets from their own tendency of getting lost. Another use for turquoise is to amplify healing energy in your pet. (Disclaimer: No I’m not a doctor or a veterinarian; if your pet isn’t feeling well, please take him or her to the pet.) However, setting a piece of turquoise by your pet’s bed may help a little too.
Where to place the crystals
Once you have your crystals, how do you conjure up the magick of crystals to work to your pet’s benefit? There are a number of ways; here is one of the easiest.
Simply take the crystal you’re working with and place it in your hands and set the intention that the crystal bring protection or healing to your pet. It’s really that simple.
You can also place the crystal on the pet’s collar or place it under the pet’s bed. When you start working with certain crystals around your pet, I suggest working with one crystal at a time. That way, you can observe the effect that the crystal has on you petr. You may find that certain crystals are effective and others aren’t. However, you won’t know unless you try. If you start working with a crystal and your pet seems to be uncomfortable in a way that he or she wasn’t before, you might want to retire that particular crystal and work with another one.
Always write down the results of your crystal magick so you know what works and what doesn’t. You’ll want to repeat certain rituals that you found to be effective.
