I’ve never been a believer in coincidence. So when I heard the other day that a western from the 1950s called Trackdown featured a character that was a conman named Trump who wanted to build a wall to protect the townspeople, I couldn’t help but believe that there was more here than meets the eye. A friend sent a text via a group message with a link to an article about the clip. All of us in the group text were flabbergasted.
If you haven’t seen the clip, you can watch it here. In the episode, Trump tells the townspeople, “I am the only one – Trust me. I can build a wall around your homes that nothing can penetrate.”
There are so many similarities here to take note of. Of course there’s the name. Then, unless you’ve been living underneath a rock, you know that Donald Trump has been touting the savior qualities of this wall that would separate the United States from Mexico since he was on the campaign trail. He claims that this wall would keep immigrants out and none would be able to penetrate it. And like the fictitious Trump in the western, Donald Trump has also told crowds of people that he alone could fix their problems. Then there’s the conman part. Yes, that part is arguable but many people would call — and have called — Donald Trump a conman today.
There are so many similarities that it’s uncanny — until you realize that psychic ability gives us a way to tap into the past and into the future.
Prophets present and past
Before you go off thinking I’m reaching here, consider other prophets and psychics who have made predictions that have come true. Nostradamus is one of the most famous for predicting political and future historical events. Many believe that Nostradamus, who lived during the 1500s, correctly predicted events that happened decades later. The History Channel points out that many believe that Nostradamus predicted the French Revolution, the rise of Adolf Hitler and the terrorist attacks in the United States on September 11, 2001.
Today many psychics make a tradition out of posting their annual predictions for events they believe will occur in politics, entertainment and current events. So it’s not unusual for those who have developed their psychic ability to pick up on events that are likely to happen.

Could this be another example of that? I happen to think so.
The link between psychic ability and creativity
So did the creator of this episode of Trackdown have some psychic premonition and decide to disguise it through fiction? It’s possible, but I bet that’s not how it happened. In fact, chances are the writer didn’t realize he was receiving a premonition; rather he likely believed that he was tapping his own creativity. And that’s not unusual because there are A LOT of similarities between psychic ability and creativity.
- Both come from an unknown source.
- Both are tapped via the subconscious mind.
- Both make use of symbols.
- Both lead to an outcome that belongs to the world at large rather than to one individual person.
- Both can be stifled by logic.
- Both are used to explain human nature.
- Both are believed to be enhanced through meditation. Read how meditation can help enhance psychic ability here.
How to unleash your own psychic predictions
Whether you believe this Trackdown episode was in fact a prediction about Donald Trump’s future exploits, you can play with your own natural abilities to make psychic predictions. Here are some exercises you can try if you want to try your hand at making predictions of your own.
Automatic writing
Automatic writing is a psychic technique in which you literally invite your subconscious to write down what is to come. Nostradamus is actually believed to have used this technique when he wrote down his famous predictions, which are known as quatrains.
In order to practice automatic writing, it helps to first get into a meditative state and clear your mind. I like to use my non-dominant hand for automatic writing because it has a closer connection to my subconscious mind. If you’re right-handed, use your left hand. If you’re left-handed, use your right hand.
Then, set an intention to write about a particular topic and allow yourself to write. You might prompt yourself by setting the intention to write about what is to happen in the next 365 days. The key is not to ponder what you’re writing and not to give yourself time to stop and think. Just keep writing. Really let it flow. If you’ve ever been in a so-called creative space and the words or pictures just flowed from you, that’s the type of flow I’m talking about.
You might also set a timer for, say, 20 minutes and write until the timer goes off. You can read more about automatic writing here.
Meditation
I can’t emphasize enough how helpful meditation can be if you’re trying to tap your psychic ability. When I started meditating daily for as little as three minutes a day, I experienced all kinds of psychic insights and prophetic dreams.
You can also set the intention to come up with predictions before entering the meditative state. Then pay attention to the thoughts or symbols that come to mind while you are meditating. Write them down when you finish the meditation. While the thoughts and symbols might not make sense immediately, they may make sense at a later time.
Using Tarot cards
I believe that anyone can tap the power of Tarot cards to make predictions. You don’t have to have studied them or memorized their interpretations. When you look at a card it’s going to inspire thoughts and symbols in your own mind, which are speaking in a language that is unique to you.
If you have a deck of Tarot cards, shuffle them and then set the intention to come up with a prediction about the future. You might be more specific by saying the prediction is about a certain topic or a certain person. It helps to formulate a question in your mind. For example, you might ask, ‘what does the future hold for this country in the next two years?’
Then, pull three cards and lay them out in a row. Look at each card and the scene depicted on it. What thoughts come to mind? Do you feel any emotions? Think about the question you asked, then look at each card and see how the card answers the question. Write down your thoughts and insights no matter how illogical they may be. Again, psychic answers often make sense after the fact. They may seem ridiculous when you first hear them only to make sense later.
If you don’t have a deck of Tarot cards, you can also use Oracle cards or even a regular deck of playing cards. Any card that is rich with symbolism can tap your intuition.
Ask for a dream
Many people experience the majority of their psychic predictions through dreams. If you’re one of them, you might use this method to come up with your own predictions for the future. Before you go to bed, set the intention to get a message about the particualar topic. It’s helpful if your intention is your last conscious thought before drifting off to sleep, but it doesn’t have to be.
Some people have found success writing down their intention before going to sleep and placing the piece of paper they wrote the intention on underneath the pillow. You might also put a crystal known for sparking psychic activity under your pillow, such as amethyst.
Keep a dream journal or a recorder next to your bedside so you can record any fragments from your dreams that you remember when you wake up. Remember dreams often disappear from our memories very quickly so don’t take the chance that you’ll remember the entire message at a later time.
The reason we’re marveling at this screenwriter’s story about the fictitious conman named Trump is because he found a way to record the thoughts and inspiration that came to him. That’s the most important part of you coming up with your own predictions. You’ll only know how right you were if you put your thoughts down for posterity. If you have friends who are also interested in devloping their psychic ability, you can share your predictions with each other. Imagine how much confidence you’ll have in your psychic abilities if you have a witness who has seen how accurate you are. You won’t be able to talk yourself out of how psychic you are!
Challenge yourself and you might find that you know more about what is in store for yourself and the world around you than you think.
