There are many ways to access psychic information. Some people experience thoughts, feelings and sensations that provide psychic insights, but others turn to tools to help them. A pendulum is one such tool.
Pendulums are tools that are weighted down so that they can swing back and forth. Think of a necklace chain with a crystal or other weighted object and imagine looking to see which direction the object swings in. That’s basically how a pendulum works.
It’s important that you set the right intention if you’re going to use a pendulum. You don’t want to use it as a necklace one day and a pendulum at another time. Rather, you want your pendulum to be designated for divination purposes only. It’s also a good idea to avoid letting others use your pendulum. Over time your pendulum will become infused with your energy, which could make your divination efforts even more effective.
To use a pendulum, you’d hold it so that the weighted object can hang. When you first start using a pendulum, you have to learn how to speak its language. Silently ask a yes or no question that you already know the answer to, such as ‘is it raining outside.’ Then observe the way that the pendulum swings. If it’s raining outside and the pendulum swings in a circular motion, then that’s how your pendulum will relay affirmative answers to you. Then do the same thing with a question in which you know the answer is ‘no.’
It may take some time for you to get used to working with the pendulum, and you may have to practice using it a few times to begin to feel comfortable that you’re getting accurate answers. The more you work with your pendulum, the better you’ll be able to communicate with it and understand the messages that it relays.
One thing to keep in mind: Pendulums are not designed for getting long, detailed responses to your questions. They are good for providing ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answers, so make sure you pose your questions accordingly.
You can make your own pendulum, or you can buy one. As with any divination tools that you buy, pay attention to your intuition and purchase the one that you are drawn to.
