There is a long history of people being terrorized and murdered for their spiritual beliefs. One of the spiritual belief systems that has been brutalized the most is Wicca, commonly referred to as witchcraft.
Not only have people who practiced witchcraft been persecuted throughout history, but many people who did not follow the religion were accused of being witches and killed anyway.
While we often think of witch persecutions as something that happened in the past, such as the Salem witch trials and the witch hunts in London, the persecution of ‘witches’ is not something that is only relegated to history. In fact, there is news that ISIS is accusing people of witchcraft and sorcery and recently killed two married couples for working with magic.
According to the Daily Mail, ISIS is finding and punishing people who the group believes to be guilty of ‘black magic.’
