What can you expect for the new moon in Scorpio that takes place October 27, 2019 at 11:38 pm EST? If you’re planning a new moon manifestation ritual, you might want to wait until next month.
Most people who really know me, know that I love new moons. They are ripe with potential, and they mark new beginnings.
During a new moon, the moon is conjunct with the sun so the sun’s power and energy gives the moon’s natural magic an additional boost. Traditionally new moons are times of manifestation, when it makes sense to start a new project or a new intiative. I love to plan manifestation rituals where I start a new goal during the new moon and watch it come to fruition over the course of the month. However, this particular new moon is an exception.
Like all new moons, this one marks the beginning of a new cycle. However, this new moon may very well bring in a cycle that you can’t control.
First of all, this new moon is in Scorpio, which is ruled by Pluto, the planet of power and transformation. Think of the times in your life when you’ve undergone massive transformation. Chances are some of those times weren’t so pleasant and you may not have enjoyed what was going on when it was happening. Yet, you may have looked back in retrospect and said it was the best thing that could have happened to you. (We’ve all heard the story of the person who got laid off and was devastated and then went on to build a successful business that they would not have built had they not lost their job.)
Transformation is like medicine. It’s one of those things that are great for us in the long run, but they are often unpleasant in the moment.
Scorpio shines a revealing light
Scorpio is known for being a keeper of secrets and a new moon in Scorpio may bring to light something that was secret or just beneath the surface. It could be something that was troubling you on a subconscious level making its way to the forefront of your mind.
Under normal circumstances, a new moon in Scorpio can reveal the unexpected, but in 2019, it may be that way even moreso because this new moon sits in opposition to Uranus, the planet of chaos and unexpected change. When Uranus comes around, routines are shaken up, and you often find yourself experiencing circumstances that you didn’t see coming. That’s not the type of energy that I want surrounding me when I launch a new project or start a new goal.
Instead, the lesson for this new moon cycle may be Surrender. Instead of focusing on a goal you want to achieve, try being open to the unexpected and going with the flow. Then see where this moon cycle takes you.
But get those manifestation candles ready for next month when the new moon in Sagittarius will give you plenty of power to launch that next goal.
